Kansas City, Missouri native, Kirsten Mims has always been a fan of the art of storytelling. Finally finding her calling in videography, Kirsten's background in film spans from NBC, MetroSports, The University of Missouri Athletic Department, as well as many other broadcast companies.
Kirsten began freelancing small projects here and there. When the opportunity to film her first wedding came about, she felt the pressure and was comfortable thriving in it.
As a child, Kirsten enjoyed writing short children's books, which began her love for storytelling. As she began studying broadcast journalism at The University of Missouri-Columbia, she was reintroduced to her passion of storytelling. Coming from a different angle this time, she studied telling the story through video and sound. By using the two senses of sight and hearing, Kirsten takes pride in making the viewers feel as though they were present for the event, even if they weren't.
Focusing on producing content that invokes emotions in the viewers who were there, as well as emotionally grasping those not in attendance, Kirsten's mission is to consistently awaken the viewers emotions. As she says, "If no one cried while watching, I didn't do my job."
